  • This sophisticated Georgian townhouse has retained all its history and heritage, with original 19 th -century doors and floors and 500-year-old oil paintings sitting harmoniously alongside modern essentials such as slick air-conditioning, central heating and Dyson hairdryers

  • There are just seven spacious bedrooms, all en-suite, which can accommodate a total of 14 guests. Each room is named after one of Jane Austen’s relatives, including the sophisticated Parisian blue of her cousin Cassandra, the grand white and red stripes of brother Henry and warm pink comfort of cousin Eliza

  • The townhouse’s common areas include M Halavant’s Pantry with a large communal sharing table for breakfast, private dining and parties, as well as Jane Austen’s Reading Room with numerous first editions, a cocktail snug, and an outdoor terrace. The Pantry can also be converted into a meeting room if required

  • Ann, your resident housekeeper, has oodles of experience and the best contacts across the city and will happily take care of all your requests, however unusual they might be

  • Your private chef creates glorious afternoon teas and sublime suppers in the subterranean staff kitchen, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. We recommend opting for the full English breakfast option as it is to die for
